Welcome to 2026!
Here we go for another year and January is already finished. Crikey!!
Some of us (staff included) may be a bit nervous, even anxious about starting another year. Life gets busy, doesn't it, or this could be your first time with DE. What I can tell you is we are all a team here in DE. If you need help, please ask. If you don't understand something, please ask. If you're not sure how or when you need to have something done by, please ask. We are here to help you. Our staff are magnificent and really love serving God and helping you.
I have been reminded of late that God is BIGGER than any of my problems and that we can trust him in ALL things.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
It's one of my favourite Bible verses that keeps reminding me to look to God and trust. I may be older than you, but I still struggle with humility and asking for help, whether asking God for help and guidance, or asking a friend or colleague for assistance. So my encouragement to you all is to ask if you need help, or you don't understand something. It can be a bit overwhelming when getting into the swing and routine of a new year, but we are here to help and guide the best we can. Being patient would be another thing I would encourage you to do - if you have a question ask, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
We have so many things to look forward to this term. I am looking forward to our Assembly, coming together for our excursion, meeting and seeing you at the lunchtime clubs, or even chatting with you one on one online. You can get in touch with Mr Wiseman or myself for a catch up; we too are here to help and encourage you.
So I pray this blessing over your year, “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:25-26
Praying a blessed and wonderful year for you all.
