Thank you for your support throughout the semester. We hope Term 2 has been both productive and enjoyable. For those who have recently begun their journey with Distance Education, we trust that you are starting to feel more comfortable and confident with our systems and routines.
Student reports have now been finalised, and it's time to enjoy a well-earned rest over the next three weeks. During the third week of the holidays, from 21st to 25th July, staff will attend our on-site school conference. This is not only a valuable time of worship and professional development, but also a rare opportunity for staff to reconnect in person through meals, social events, and collaborative sessions.
Students will commence their Week 1 work on Monday, 28th July. Teachers will ensure that Weekly Planners are available and ready to go at the start of the term. Please note that the Year 3–6 courses are being updated for Semester 2 and will be released as soon as they become accessible.
Students usually undertake Protective Behaviours studies with Mrs Jessica Sinclair in Term Four. To smooth out workflow in the second semester, we are making this available from Term 3 if you wish to complete the course earlier or spread it over two terms. Please be aware that Mrs Sinclair will not be available to answer questions or mark work until Term 4 but year level teachers may be able to assist with general queries through Intercom. This year we will not report separately for Protective Behaviours but will combine the mark with Health for final Primary School reports.

Mini Meet-Ups
Earlier this term a few families joined us for our second informal Mini Meet-Up, held at the Ballajura Intergenerational Play Space. Although the weather was cold, the rain held off, and it was a lovely opportunity to see students begin to connect and build relationships.
These small gatherings offer a relaxed environment where students can feel comfortable before attending larger events. There are no structured activities, attendance is optional, and the time is flexible—just come along when you can.
We’d love to see more families join us next time! If you have any suggestions for future Primary School meet-up locations, please let us know. Scroll down to see some snapshots of the playground and our students having fun at our last event.
Pre-Primary News
Creative and critical thinking are essential skills in our rapidly changing world. Our students will need to be adaptable problem-solvers who think deeply, generate ideas, and communicate and evaluate them effectively. Activities such as imaginative play, open-ended construction, design challenges, and art all help to nurture these abilities.
In Design Technologies this term, our Pre-Primary students were challenged to build a house that the 'Big Bad Wolf' could not blow down! They chose materials, planned their structures, built models, and tested them using wind or shake tests.
Students enjoyed designing and constructing their 'Big Bad Wolf’-proof houses. Many used materials they found at home, and one student, Zion, even tested his design on a boat and gathered his materials from the bush!
