Welcome to the 2026 school year!

It is wonderful to have you as part of our school community, whether you are a new family joining us or a returning one.

Even after many years, I still remember the mix of excitement and apprehension that comes with a new school year - it truly is a blank page ready to be written.  We understand that starting a new year, and perhaps a new way of schooling, can be challenging. Please reach out to your teachers with any questions or concerns; a full list of the Primary teachers is available in the Takumuna modules.

Setting Term 1 Goals:

We encourage you to sit down with your child to set some goals for Term 1. These might include:

  • Improving handwriting or spelling

  • Learning times tables

  • Developing better study habits (like using a timer or keeping resources organised)

  • Committing to a daily physical activity

Pro Tip: Goals work best with a plan.  Discuss the ‘how’ (e.g., buying a desk organiser or making a progress chart) and the ‘why’ (the motivation behind the goal).

Quick Tips for Success:

  • Orientation Refresh: The Orientation Course remains open should you wish to refresh your memory on our systems.

  • Stay Informed: Check the Parent and Guardian Noticeboard for additional help modules. You will need to log in to your supervisor Observer account to be able to see this tile on your dashboard.  This noticeboard has regular updates from Mrs Phipson including school events and sign-ups.

  • Stay Ahead: Try printing at least one week’s resources in advance. Write the submission date at the top of the page and store them in a folder to ensure no deadlines are missed.

Save the Date:

  • Mathspace Parent and Carer Webinar: February 11th. Check the flyer in our newsletter for session times (AEDT).

  • Primary Parent/Supervisor Information Session: February 18th, 11am at Perth Bible College. We would love to see you there if you would like some additional information or support.

  • NAPLAN 2026: Occurs during March in Term 1. More information will be available soon.

Enjoy these first few weeks of discovery! Remember, we are only a message or a call away if you need a hand finding your rhythm. We can’t wait to see what your children achieve on these ‘blank pages’ of 2026!
