Welcome back to Term 3!
Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you and your family had a restful, refreshing break and that your children are eager and ready for another fantastic term of learning, growth, and community.
Term 3 is traditionally a time to settle in and focus for a solid ten weeks, and our staff are looking forward to guiding your children through the weeks ahead. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to make contact.
A Vision for the Future
As we begin this new term, we are reminded that school isn't just about getting an education in a faith-based setting. It is about something much larger. It is about teaching our children how to set meaningful goals, discover their unique God-given gifts, and prepare to serve Him in the future.
Every lesson, every challenge, and every success this term is a stepping stone - equipping our students for the specific, beautiful plans God has laid out for their lives.
As we press into these new goals together, we are anchored by the words of Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV): Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Staff Mid-Year Conference
While our students were enjoying their well-deserved break, our staff travelled to Queensland for a refreshing and stimulating mid-year conference. It was a great opportunity to network, collaborate, and share best practices with hundreds of our colleagues from across Australia. As always, deepening our shared vision for Christ-centred and high-quality education was the focus of our time together.
Christian Education Ministries is utterly dedicated to the care, spiritual growth, and academic education of your children. Being part of this national network means our school benefits from incredible resources, robust support, and a shared dedication to excellence. We don't just see education as a job; it is our ministry and our privilege to partner with you in raising the next generation.
Our staff have returned with full cups, fresh ideas, and a renewed passion for their teaching.
Important Reminder: Protective Behaviours Course
A quick reminder for all families that the Protective Behaviours course, overseen by Mrs Jessica Sinclair, is available this term.
⚠️ Please Note: This course is compulsory, and grades directly contribute to your child's final Health grade at the end of the year.
Timeline: The course must be fully completed by the end of Term 4, but you are welcome and encouraged to work ahead this term if you wish.
Marking & Feedback: Mrs Sinclair will be completing all marking and feedback during Term 4.

Looking Ahead
We have a busy and fulfilling term planned. Please remember that this is a ten week term and students must continue to log in each day even if their work is finished early.
The Primary and Secondary Athletics Carnival will be held at the end of this term and we’re busy planning for a day of fun and competition - we hope to see you there. Please keep an eye on the Parent and Guardian Noticeboard (accessed via your observer account) for more information.

Spotlight on Year 4
Each week during Term 1, the Year 4 students focused on memorising and reciting the seven I AM statements from the book of John in the New Testament, where Jesus gives us seven descriptions of Himself. Each of these seven descriptions tells us a little bit more about the character of Jesus, and about who He is.
